Using the Miller Filtair Capture 5 Fume Extractor is straightforward. First, connect the primary power connector (the primary cord is sold separately). Position the 10 - foot extraction arm where you need it. Thanks to its 360 - degree rotation, you can easily adjust it to the best position for capturing weld fumes. When you start welding, the machine will start extracting fumes. The exclusive ZoneFlow™ technology will create a negative pressure zone to pull in fumes from up to 5 feet away. Remember, since the capture zone is large, you won't need to move the arm around too much. This will help you focus on your welding and increase your productivity. For maintenance, the machine has an automatic filter cleaning feature. Every time you turn off the machine, it will clean the FilTek XL Filter from the inside out. The filtered particulate will go into the disposal bin. You can empty the bin easily by releasing the handles and sliding out the drawer. If you want more control over the filter cleaning, you can use the manual push - button and check the filter cleaning gauge. The arm is easy to move and adjust by hand, so you don't need any tools. Just make sure to keep the external adjustments clear for better airflow. This fume extractor is designed for long - lasting operation, but regular checks and proper use will ensure it works well for a long time.
