This tungsten electrode has 2% dispersed lanthanum oxide, which greatly improves arc starting and stability. It also reduces tip erosion and extends the operating current range. Ideal for welding various materials including low - alloyed steels, non - corroding steels, aluminum, magnesium, titanium, nickel, and copper alloys. Works well for both DC and AC applications. It's an AWS Class EWLa - 2 electrode with a blue color, available in sizes 1/16', 3/32' & 1/8'.
Using this Blue Demon EWLa - 2 2% Lanthanated Tungsten electrode is easy. First, choose the right size according to your welding job. For DC and AC applications, it works well right out of the box. When using it on different materials like low - alloyed steels or aluminum, you'll notice great arc starting and stable performance. As for maintenance, try to keep the electrode dry and clean.
