Accessories

Using this 3M welding helmet is straightforward. First, put on the hard hat part of the helmet. Adjust the head suspension to make it comfortable and stable on your head. The head suspension also helps distribute the weight evenly. If you want additional protection against certain vapors, you can stack the HE particulate filter onto the 3M™ Adflo™ Cartridge (you'll need to get the cartridge separately). Remember, the auto - darkening filter (ADF) isn't included, so you'll have to install the 06 - 0000 - 10 ADF if you need it. When you're using the helmet for welding, the side windows will give you a wider view of your work area. There are audible and visual alarms that will let you know if the airflow is low or the battery is running out, so keep an eye and ear out for those. As for maintenance, regularly check the filters for dirt and replace them when needed. Also, keep the helmet clean. Store it in the provided storage bag when not in use to protect it from damage. And make sure to recharge the battery regularly if it's running low.
