CK Worldwide uses a special head assembly. It has the largest water jacket in an 18 or 20 series torch. This design offers over 4 times the surface area for great heat transfer compared to other torch heads. That means better cooling, longer - lasting consumables, and it can connect to standard cables and hoses. The fail - safe hose fittings don't need wire ties. Remember, don't bend the torch right out of the box. Strike a few arcs to warm up the coils inside for easier bending. Bend the flexible area, usually between the handle start and about 1/2" before the head, with a maximum of 40 degrees from the centerline. Keep the number of bends to a minimum and spread the bend over the whole neck of the torch.
Accessories
Using this CK Worldwide TIG torch is easy. First, make sure it's properly connected to standard cables and hoses. When you start using it, don't rush to bend the torch. Strike a couple of arcs to warm up the coils inside. This will make it much easier to bend the flexible part, which is between the start of the handle and about 1/2" before the head. You can bend it up to 40 degrees from the centerline, but try to keep the number of bends to a minimum and spread the bend over the whole neck. As for maintenance, thanks to its great cooling design, the torch runs cooler and the consumables last longer. Check the hose fittings regularly to ensure they are in good condition.
