Product Description

The CK 17 series torches are the world's top - selling torches. They feature a hardened brass alloy head that reduces thread damage, preventing galling and seizing of the collet body. With the largest metal head insert, these torches ensure maximum cooling and a longer lifespan. The torches equipped with Superflex cables are the lightest and most flexible on the market. The silicon rubber hose with a nylon over - braid resists abrasion and remains flexible in cold conditions. Rated up to 150 amps, the 17 series torches accept CK's 3 series (10N) consumables. Key features include a 150 - amp capacity, 100% duty cycle at 150 amps, 8 - 3/4 - inch length, 5 - oz weight, a rigid head, a one - piece Superflex cable assembly, efficient heat dissipation, a hardened brass head, air - cooling, and they are made in the USA.

Using your CK 17 series TIG torch is straightforward. First, make sure you've connected the Superflex cable properly to your welding machine. Since it's rated for up to 150 amps, don't exceed this capacity to avoid damage. Insert the appropriate CK's 3 series (10N) consumables into the torch. When welding, hold the torch at a proper angle for the best results. As for maintenance, check the hardened brass head regularly for any signs of thread damage. The silicon rubber hose with the nylon over - braid is abrasion - resistant, but still be careful not to drag it roughly on sharp surfaces. Keep it in a dry place when not in use. In cold environments, the cable will stay flexible, but it's still a good idea to let the torch warm up a bit before starting to weld. And remember, this torch is air - cooled, so ensure good ventilation around it during operation.
