Product Description

Description

Unbeatable Output Capacity

With 450 Amps at 38V and a 100% duty cycle, this welder offers 17,100 watts of continuous welding power. It's perfect for your most challenging welding jobs, ensuring reliable performance all day long.

Advanced Features for Pros

Designed specifically for professional welders, the XMT provides outstanding arc performance for DC Stick, Wire, and TIG processes. The Adaptive Hot Start makes starting Stick electrodes a breeze without any inclusions. You can enjoy infinite arc control in Stick and Wire modes, which is great for fine - tuning when working with difficult - to - weld materials or in tricky positions. The Lift - Arc™ start reduces electrode contamination without using high frequency.

Wind Tunnel Technology

The Wind Tunnel Technology creates an internal air flow that shields electrical components and PC boards from dirt, dust, and debris. This significantly enhances the welder's reliability.

Fan - On - Demand

The Fan - On - Demand feature only runs when necessary. It cuts down on noise, power consumption, and the amount of airborne contaminants that get pulled into the machine.

User - Friendly Control Panel

The large, dual digital meters are easy to read and can be preset to simplify setting the weld output. The process selector switch streamlines control setup without sacrificing any features. The ultra - tough, polycarbonate - blended cover protects the front controls from damage.

Low OCV Stick

This simplified version is a great fit for Construction or Fabrication projects where the 14 - pin receptacle for remote control or 14 - pin feeders isn't needed. It's designed for DC Stick, TIG, and Wire with a Voltage Sensing Wire Feeder.

XMT 450 MPa Models

The XMT 450 MPa models come with built - in pulse programs. These programs offer benefits for both standard and high - strength steels, including a reduced heat - affected zone, the ability to weld in all positions, good gap - filling, and faster travel and deposition speeds.

Using your Miller XMT 450 is easy. First, make sure to connect it to the correct power source, either 230V or 460V as needed. For different welding processes like DC Stick, Wire, or TIG, use the process selector switch on the control panel. The large dual digital meters can be preset to quickly set the weld output. When starting a Stick electrode, the Adaptive Hot Start feature will help you get going without any issues. And if you're using TIG, the Lift - Arc™ start will minimize electrode contamination. Remember, the Fan - On - Demand feature will only run when the machine needs cooling, so don't be alarmed if it doesn't run all the time. As for maintenance, thanks to the Wind Tunnel Technology, the internal components are protected from dirt and debris. But it's still a good idea to keep the machine clean and check the control panel's polycarbonate - blended cover for any signs of damage. If you're using the Low OCV Stick version, it's ideal for certain construction or fabrication jobs where you don't need the 14 - pin receptacle. The XMT 450 MPa models with built - in pulse programs are great for working with different types of steels, so use them according to your project requirements.
