The black helmet is available in variable shades 8 - 12 or two single - shade ADF options (100F - shade 10 or 11). The Speedglas 100 with 100V Auto - Darkening Filter works well for Stick, MIG, and most TIG welding. You can select dark shades from 8 to 12, and it's shade 3 in the light state. Using your 3M Speedglas 100 black welding helmet is easy. First, put on the helmet and adjust it to fit your head comfortably. When you start welding, the auto - darkening filter (ADF) will automatically adjust to the right shade. You can select the dark shade from 8 to 12 according to your welding needs. Just remember to check the sensitivity level and set it to the appropriate one for reliable arc detection. As for maintenance, keep the helmet clean. Use a soft cloth to wipe it after each use. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they may damage the helmet's surface. Also, store the helmet in a dry place when not in use. If you notice any damage to the ADF or other parts, stop using the helmet and get it repaired or replaced.
