- With POWER - LOSS RESET®, if there's a power outage or unexpected shut - down, you need to cycle the ON/OFF trigger switch (turn it off then on) to restart the tool.

Using this Dewalt angle grinder is easy. First, make sure all the included parts like the side handle, hex key, and wheel guards are properly installed. When you're ready to use it, remember the 2 - stage trigger. You need to perform two actions to activate the tool. When the grinder is running, if it experiences a pinch, stall, or bind - up, the electronic kickback brake will engage automatically to stop the wheel and turn off the motor. Also, be aware of the POWER - LOSS RESET® feature. If there's a power outage, you'll need to cycle the trigger switch to restart the tool. As for maintenance, since it has a brushless motor, you don't have to worry about brush replacements. But still, keep it clean and store it in a dry place. And use the DWA8824 wheel for the best braking performance where the wheel stops in 1 second or less on average. The integrated lanyard attachment point is there for your safety, though you'll need to get your own lanyard.
